Registration

Tuition and Fee

Toddler Tunes : One registration fee (including materials fee):  $25.00.
  • Tuition Plan A: One semester payment of $180.00.
  • Tuition Plan B: Four monthly payments of $50.00.
  • Materials:

Music in Me, More Music in Me, Hello Melody: One registration fee (including materials fee) : $35.00 
  • Tuition Plan A: One semester payment of $260.00.
  • Tuition Plan B: Four monthly payments of $70.00.
  • Materials including :
  * Class book
  * Class Activity book
  * CD of class music
                 * Attendance & Award cards

Harmony Road, Young Musician, Keyboard Prep : One registration fee (including materials fee) : 
First semester : $50.00.  Subsequent semesters: $30. 
  • Tuition Plan A: One semester payment of $350.00.
  • Tuition Plan B: Four monthly payments of $95.00.
  • Materials including :
   * Each level book 
  * CD of class music
   * Attendance & Award cards
                
                1st semester including additional material :

Piano Street : One registration fee  (including materials fee) : $30.00.
  • Tuition Plan A: One semester payment of $340.00.
  • Tuition Plan B: Four monthly payments of $90.00.

        * CD of class music

Private Piano lesson : Students purchase their own Material/Books or teacher
can order for you.  One annual registration fee $20.
  • 30 minute lessons       $20.00/lesson
  • 45 minute lessons       $30.00/lesson
  • 60 minute lessons $40.00/lesson


Payment of Tuition:
  • Registration + Material fee is paid to reserve your space in the class one week before each semester starts.
  • All fees apply only to the course enrolled for and cannot be later transferred to other courses, other family members or subsequent sessions except the cancellation of the class. 
  • Tuition will get 5% off discount for 2nd and more family members. 
  • The Registration & Material Fee is not refundable. 
  • Returned checks will be subject to a $25 fee.
  • Tuition and Fees are subject to change without notice.

Paid By Semester:
  • Tuition is paid  by semester and is due before first class starts in each semester.
  • If a student wishes to withdraw the class,  notification must be given one week before the semester starts for full refund of tuition. 
  • If the withdraw notification is given by the end of 4th week of the semester, a 50% of tuition will be refunded. 
  • If the withdraw notification is given after the 4th week of the semester, tuition is not refundable.

Paid By Month
  • Tuition is paid  monthly and is due the 1st week of each month.
  • If a student wishes to withdraw the class,  notification must be given before the month lesson starts for full refund of tuition. 
  • If the withdraw notification is given before the 2nd week of class, a 50% of tuition will be refunded. 
  • If the withdraw notification is given after the 2nd week of class, tuition is not refundable.
  • For Intro sessions (4-week sessions) and Summer sessions, Tuition refund follow this same policy.
  • Private lesson tuition is paid by monthly.


Referrals
We would like to reward current students for referring new students to Melody in Me Music Studio. For referring a registering/paying student (new students only) to fall or spring semesters, you will receive $10.00 credit towards tuition.

Punctuality
  • Classes begin on time. 
  • Please arrive a few minutes early to give you and your child time to get settled in. 
  • Late arrivals will be accepted occasionally.
  • Frequent lateness may result in your being asked to move to another class which better fits your schedule.

Attendance
  • Regular attendance is extremely important for your child's success.
  • Missing class frequently will result in your child falling behind the other students.  Often this negatively influences their desire to practice and continue music class. 
  • If you are unable to attend your class, please notify us.  We will have your child's assignment on the website for you to download it.
  • Nursing babies are the only other siblings allowed in class with the parent.
  • Siblings and guests may wait in the play room during the classtime.
  • PARENTS or CAREGIVERS MUST ATTEND with students through the 3rd grade or until the student is reading and writing proficiently.
  • Parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend with children between ages 8 and 11 yrs.  Many parents choose to stay longer because they find it is beneficial to their child and they enjoy the class experience. The adult attending class needs to be the same person as often as possible as they will be responsible for overseeing practice and answering questions at home. It is best to have one adult with each child when there are two siblings in the same class.

Missed Lessons
For Group Lessons:
  • No refund will be given for missed lessons.
  • If you are unable to attend your class, make-up classes are available when there is a parallel class with a keyboard available, or arranging a make-up class upon teacher's availability.
  • Make-up classes must be attended during the same week as the originally missed class. Contact studio to obtain dates, times and availability of parallel classes.  
  • If a child misses a class, please call or email for the lesson assignments within a few days of that class.
  • Occasionally we cancel lessons in the event of heavy snow or bad road conditions. You will be given a courtesy email by studio if your lesson is canceled. Make-up classe schedules will be arranged.
  • In the case of an emergency or prolonged illness, we will make every attempt to accommodate your's and the student's needs.

For Private Lessons:
  • No refund will be given for a missed lesson. 
  • 24 hour advanced noticed is required in order to reschedule a lesson.  
  • At the instructor's convenience, missed lessons will be rescheduled or an extended lesson may also be agreed upon for the following lessons.
  • Occasionally we cancel lessons in the event of heavy snow or bad road conditions. You will be given a courtesy call or email by studio if your lesson is canceled. Make-up classe schedules will be arranged.
  • Exceptions may be made for emergencies or planned vacations.  In the case of an emergency or prolonged illness, we will make every attempt to accommodate student's needs.
  • Lesson Cancellations -  If the teacher has to cancel a lesson for sickness or emergency, we will try to do a make-up lesson.  If that is not possible, we will refund you for that lesson.  Please remember that too many lesson cancellations may result in poor progress. Improvement greatly depends on consistent piano instruction and practice.
