Ms. May Li

May Li began her piano study at age five in China. She holds a Bachelor degree in Piano Performance from Sichuan Music Conservatory in China, and she earned her Master Degree in Piano Performance from Northern Illinois University (NIU), and received the Performers’ Certificate in Piano at NIU.

As a pianist, May has performed many concerts as soloist and accompanist in China, Hong Kong and the United States in  recitals, TV show concerts, music festivals, musical performances, and a film festival opening concert.
May is an enthusiastic and devoted piano teacher with a 15-year teaching experience.  As a lover of music, May has a passion for imparting the same joy of music to her students through teaching.  May has been teaching both group piano and private lessons for young children and adults and it still amazes her to watch their faces light up as they discover music.  Over the years, many of May’s piano students have won prizes and honors at different piano competitions and music festivals in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and the United States.
